Diabetic Retinal Photography
Diabetic Retinal Photography (DRP) is a common eye disease among diabetic patients. Blood capillaries may bleed and damage the retina, potentially leading to blindness. Regular diabetic retinal photography can detect and monitor your eyes.
Diabetic Retinal Photography screening is carried out by specially trained nurses at our clinics, assisted by Artificial Intelligence technology. Results will be forwarded to your attending physician for follow up.
Diabetic Foot Screening
Uncontrolled diabetes may cause impact on the nerves, diabetic neuropathy, as well as blood vessels of the feet, peripheral arterial disease. Such may give rise to foot ulcers and amputations. Early recognition and treatment can delay progression.
Diabetic Foot Screening (DFS) is conducted by trained nurses, who will also educate on proper footcare and good sugar control. Referrals to footcare specialists will be made where appropriate.
Nurse Counselling
Trained nurses will provide dietary advice for diabetes/ hypertension/ high cholesterol/ high acid, as well as guidance on exercise, stress and weight management. They will teach compliance in medication and techniques for administration of insulin for diabetes and inhaler for asthma.
Regular sessions may be planned so that health plans are rolled out with progressive milestones, leading to improvement in quality of life.
