Yes, the Nutri Ready™ DNA test can be taken by children under parental guidance. However, consult a pediatrician before proceeding if there are specific health concerns.
Nutri Ready™ uses a buccal (cheek) swab for sample collection. This method is simple and quick.
To ensure accurate results, please check the expiry date of the swab kit. Report any expired kits to our team. Avoid eating, drinking, smoking, vaping, brushing your teeth, or using lipstick for at least 30 minutes before taking the sample.
- Open the swab from the indicated area without touching the tip.
- Press the swab firmly against the inside of your left cheek and rub in a back-and-forth motion for 30 seconds. Repeat on your right cheek.
- Unscrew the blue cap from the tube, insert the swab, and screw it closed tightly.
- Flip the tube 15-20 times to mix the swab with the preservation liquid.
- Label the tube with your name and date of birth under the barcode using permanent ink.
- Place the tube in the biohazard pouch, include the test request and consent forms, and seal them in the provided poly mailer.
- Stick the security seal and shipping label on the poly mailer, and the sample is ready for pickup.
