Online counselling is remote counselling / therapy conducted through video call with our qualified professionals. Allowing individuals to receive counselling support at their own comfort and convenience. Our counsellors are able to provide support for a wide variety of difficulties including (but not limited to): Stress & Anxiety, Depression, Relationship problems, Personal Growth & Trauma. We personalise therapy sessions to cater directly to you and your needs, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
Our counsellors are qualified and experienced professionals who are trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EMDR, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Schema Therapy, etc. They will work closely with you to assess your needs and situation to determine what approach and intervention can benefit you. To ensure a quality and productive experience:
1. Find a quiet, comfortable and private space where you can converse freely without interruptions or distractions.
2. Ensure you have a stable internet connection.
3. Test your video & audio settings for clear communication during the session.
4. Minimise distractions by silencing notifications on your devices and let people know you will be unavailable.
5. Prepare any materials or information relevant for easy reference. By following these steps, you can create a conducive environment for an effective and productive therapy session.
Video or voice connections may drop occasionally as they are contingent on connectivity speeds. In the event that connection is lost transiently during the session, resulting in loss of voice or video feeds on either party, the app will automatically reconnect once online. In the event that you dropped out of the call, please exit and reopen the app. A notification for continuation will reappear and your existing connection with the counsellor will be re-established. If you do not receive this notification, please WhatsApp +65 9230 0123 for assistance. In the event that your counsellor drops out of the call and you remain in the session, please do not exit the session. You can wait in the session for your counsellor to rejoin.
Please WhatsApp +65 9230 0123 immediately. In the event that this problem cannot be overcome, the session should be aborted and no fees will be charged.
Charges vary for each counsellor. Our hourly rates start from $130 for individual counselling. Please note that a $50 deposit is required when booking your appointment. For the full list of counsellor rates, visit this link.
We value and prioritise our clients’ trust and privacy. All information communicated between the counsellor and client is kept strictly confidential. Do note that there are exceptions to confidentiality in compliance with counselling ethical guidelines and Singapore law.
Exceptions to confidentiality:
– Where a client presents a danger to self, others or to property
– Where there is reasonable suspicion of abuse or neglect of child, dependent, elder or vulnerable adult
– Information involving the abuse of children and vulnerable adults
– Disclosures of breaking the law
– Information has been requested by court or legal body.
Our online counselling services cater for individual counselling only. For couple or family therapy, you can book an in-person appointment which will take place at our location at United Square (Novena).
The online counselling service is accessible in Singapore with an active internet connection. However, the service is not available to clients who are overseas.
Online counselling is suitable for individuals who are 13 years old and above. For children below 13 years old, it is advisable to book an in-person appointment which will take place at our location at United Square (Novena). Do note that parental consent is required for individuals below 18 years old, regardless of the appointment taking place online or in-person.
You will receive an in-app notification that your invoice is ready for your review. Please pay the invoiced amount via online payment.
Invoices will be sent within the app electronically. You can visit the records section where documents pertaining to all sessions will be held securely for your access.
Online payment is accepted. You can set up your card payment upon registration or under your wallet settings within the Minmed Connect app.
Security is paramount as a digital healthcare company. All records are kept secure in compliance with guidelines of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Records are only accessible to providers involved in your care, as well as for support of internal processing.
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please inform us at least 24 hours in advance.
